Whiskey Myers Cambridge reviews
Terrible sound
Saw them at the House of Blues in Orlando. I’ve seen MANY concerts at this venue before.
Opening band was amazing. (Shane Smith and the Saints)
When Whiskey Myers came on stage it was like someone turned up the volume times 10. It was SO LOUD at that point you couldn’t even understand the lyrics. There was a group of people standing in front of us that moved or left because it was too loud. My ears were ringing until the next day. I enjoyed the band-and would love to see them again-if it isn’t that loud. Not sure if this was an issue with the venue but I can’t remember seeing another concert at this venue that was this bad.
Butchered the entire show
Well, I just have to say, that we were highly disappointed in the main headliners concert - Whiskey Myers. Lead singer was clearly not in any state to be singing. When one butchers your best selling song and then follows up by butchering the rest of his top hits, it was disheartening. We drove 2.5 hours to see their concert and probably will not go back now after our experience. You know it’s a bad concert when you have to leave early because not one lyric was sung correctly or even relativity in tune the majority of the time. We were REALLY looking forward to attending our first concert in years and to be let down just made us remember why we do not usually attend live concerts. Other than that, the venue was beautiful and nothing but praise for the staff at the Roxy! They were all on point and busted butt to make sure the audience had a clean, safe environment to watch the butchered headliner lead singer. The band carried him the entire concert and I have to say they did a incredible job covering for him.
